What is CVS I have heard of it, but now I am real interested! I would love the gift card if it saved me from spending my own money!
ReplyDeleteIt has been so long since I've shopped CVS (school and new baby got in the way...) that I don't even remember some of the really good deals I got. But I am still enjoying all the free shampoo, toothpaste, etc!

I am a long time CVSer but I do remember going on Thanksgiving Eve at midnight to get some of the Black Friday deals. (I think I said that right.) Your office chair deal trumps mine, though.

I am sending my sister your post about the office chair. She will be impressed.

A lady in the store saw my coupon booklet and asked where I get the coupons from. I told her about centsible savings blog! Its so great to tell people how to save!

I am fairly new to CVSing but I figured out the process and I totally love it! I buy diapers still and I will only buy them at CVS because they take any huggies coupon on any huggies product!

I just got the Revlon makeup last night that was free with ECB!

ReplyDeleteI'm not new to CVS but I was wondering if you knew why CVS wouldn't give rainchecks on 3 day sale merchandise? The ad doesn't say no rainchecks, it just says no ECB after Tuesday. I've had 2 stores tell me that.
ReplyDeleteI have been loving all the free school supplies lately! I love that you can get gift cards on prescriptions by using competitor coupons.
ReplyDeleteI do actually have a question....have you ever had any troubles using your CRT's after they are expired?
ReplyDeleteI posted your button (love the new website design by the way). http://swvasavesmoney.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI told my friend from church Marie about your site!

ReplyDeleteI'd love to win a CVS gift card!
My favorite deals are the Coke and diapers. The Coke helps me deal with the diapers. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love telling me DH about the deals you post.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite deal ever at CVS... I don't know that any one particular deal thrilled me more than others - I just enjoy getting free things every week. The school supplies are extra fun, though they don't take too much work!
ReplyDeleteI love that CVS and couponing allow me to donate so much to local food banks. While I could horde my shampoo and toothpaste, I choose instead to keep just a couple bottles (whatever my little family could possibly use in the next 6 months) and everything else goes to the food bank. Knowing I am working not just to put more stuff in my house but to help others keeps me motivated when I get tired of printing and clipping all those internet coupons!
And, $25 would last about forever at CVS! Yay!
I posted about this give away on my blog. http://swvasavesmoney.blogspot.com/2009/08/coupons-freebies_4943.html
ReplyDeleteWhen CVSing should I hand over my CVS issued coupons first, or my manufactures coupons, and why?

ReplyDeletesorry, I hit "publish" before I had finished. Here's the post:
ReplyDeleteMy favorite deal was this past winter when they had the throat coolers for $5 and a $5ecb. I had a bogo coupon so $5 profit! I did that twice ($10 profit) and used it to get a telescope that was originally $80 on sale for $15, so I only spent $5oop for a $80 telescope! Woohoo for CVS!
I just told my sister-in-law about your site.

I am both new to CVS, and I already love it. When my CVS had its grand opening, I received a coupon in the mail for $10 off any $20 purchase! With the aid of other coupons I was able to get some big stuff - like free toilet paper, and also snag some ECB's in the process!
ReplyDeleteAndrea
andiscoupons at gmail dot com
As a "newbie" to CVS I have a question regarding free items. If, for example, shampoo is one sale to receive ECBs, and I use a
ReplyDeleteB1G1 coupon to get two of them, do I get the ECBs on the shampoo that I did not actually "pay" for? I haven't been able to figure this one out. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI am moving in a couple of days to a town with CVS and have been reading up on your information about it. I am so overwhelmed that I don't have a question, but I know I will after I try it out!
ReplyDeleteHad a stack of rainchecks today for deals from previous weeks. The guy at the register decided to just zero everything out so that I wouldn't have to keep track of a stack of ECBs! Worked for me!

My favorite deals at CVS are the clearance deals. I love them because I stack coupons on them and get items super cheap! Just today I found a huge bottle of scope mouth wash, usually $6 on clearance for $1.90 and then was able to use a $.75 coupon to get a sweet deal.

Awhile back I got a bunch of Aveeno lotion free with the $10 off 3 and ECB's. Love that stuff.
ReplyDeleteLove the overage by combining ECBs with manufacturer's coupons.

My favorite deal at CVS was 90% off storage containers. A friend that I met on one of the deal boards and I hit all these different CVS's and scored the jackpot at the last one. Our cart was overflowing with containers and they fell all over the parking lot. We were trying to be quick because it was dark and in a bad area, but we were laughing too hard at that point to care.

My favorite CVS deal so far (I've only had a couple experiences since we JUST got a CVS in our town) is getting a couple of bottles of Excedrin Migraine for FREE. I've been wanting to try it out and I was delighted to not have to pay for it!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are the sunscreen deals--it's hard to get sunscreen for free (I've only done it once at Rite Aid so far) but I can get it pretty cheap at CVS with the $5 Coppertone coupon out there.

Favorite deal at CVS:
ReplyDeleteThe awesome Thanksgiving and Christmas free-after-ECB items! A lot of them had coupons, too, so they were money-makers :)
ridingsilky at hotmail
The day after Thanksgiving I was able to score EVERY SINGLE ITEM they had for free after ECB, I used current ECBs I already had, so not only did i roll them, but managed to add a whole lot more. It was GREAT!!!!
ReplyDeletefassothfamily1 at yahoo dot com
I think this transaction was my favorite - I used a $20/$100 CRT, and managed to break even while buying something I really needed (paper towels) as well as a bunch of other stuff that was nice to have. :) Thank you for the giveaway!

I love getting good deals at CVS, although I am fairly new at it, and don't always save as much as I could. But I love when I can make money on buying products when using coupons, like the eye drops last week where I made $3. because they were buy one at 7.99, get 7.99in ECBs and I had a $3. off coupon.
ReplyDeletenaomus33 at gmail dot com
It has been a while, but I had one CVS trip where my total was $125 before coupons, and $17 after! I had gotten one of the glucose monitors, and it took off the coupon amount BEFORE the sale price. CVSing is GREAT!
ReplyDeleteI went for the 1st time this week to shop at CVS w/a coupon. They were out of stock. Is that normal or do they usually keep things well stocked? Any ideas? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteNew Shopper,
joannabazen@aol.com
My favorite CVS purchase was Intuition Razor refils - a luxury item for me! They were BOGO for $10.99 and I had two $4 off coupons! Bought 6 refills for $2.99 plus tax AND used ECB's to pay for them!!
ReplyDeletenikbarker@bellsouth.net

I stopped shopping at CVS for the first trimester of my pregnancy. I've been too tired to shop the sales, coupon, etc. But I recently enjoyed rolling ECBs on all the cheap & free school supplies. Got a bunch for my Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, and some for a local charity drive!

My favorite deal at CVS was when I got a crest pro toothbrush (the battery powered one, and my sonicare was giving out on me and I couldn't afford a new one) when it was on sale for 6 or 7 dollars and I had a three dollar off coupon and I bought a couple items near the front that were a dollar each but you got an ECB back after before the toothbrush--so i got a couple free items like panty liners and nailpolish and the toothbrush was almost free!!

We don't have a CVS in my area, but tried the Lakeville, MN one on our last Dr's trip there. They had M & M candies marked down. I had coupons, & received my big bags of M & M's(6 bags) for .25!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite CVS experience was when their Garnier Fructis shampoos, conditioners, and stylers were on sale for dirt cheap with ECBs receivable! I must have stocked up on at least 30 shampoos and conditioners, and another 30 styling products! It was fabulous! Not to mention, I maybe spent $20!! How can you beat that?!
ReplyDeleteI have started couponing since I had my daughter almost three months ago. Money is more important now than ever. My Longs became a CVS in July and I am loving it. The checkers at my CVS are great with my coupons - they always ask me if I have my coupons. One of the cashiers asked me for my FB handle so I can help her with saving money. I would absolutely love the gift card. I get my daughters formula among countless other items at CVS because of sales and coupons. I follow your blog on FB and am a subscriber by email.
