Menu Plan Monday

Ok, so I had 2 busy weekends and didn't get around to planning my menu. And let me tell you, I paid for it too - with coming home from work and having no idea what was for dinner!

But life is back to normal and I am looking forward to the menu I have planned for this week! Fall is the air and I am ready to cook!

I am still using the E-MEALZ plan to help me plan my menu and shopping trip. Although this week I have some meat that I need to use and will only use a few days of the plan for the rest of the week. If you haven't checked out E-MEALZ yet, take a look today. You can choose which store and plan you want to use and they give you a complete menu plan for the week - complete with recipes, sides and a corresponding grocery list! Definitely makes menu planning much easier for a busy family.

Here's my menu for the week:

Monday - Grilled whole chicken (on the grill), my free Steamfresh veggies, Baked Potatoes

Tuesday - Whole Turkey Breast, smashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, corn on the cob, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie (our fall weather has put me in the mood for Thanksgiving food! Plus all my free steamfresh veggies needed the space the turkey breast was taking up in my freezer.)

Wednesday - Turkey Sandwiches

Thursday - Mexican casserole

Friday - leftovers

Saturday - grilled Hamburgers, french fries

Sunday Sustennance - Check your vision!

I have been having a hard time seeing God in my circumstances in recent days. I am sure you have been there before too - you find yourself asking, "Where is God in this?" I know He is there, I just need to remind myself of that sometimes.

I was really blessed by this quote that a friend shared on facebook this week. I printed it out and put it in a visible place to remind myself of it.

"Don't let your SIGHT get in the way of your VISION! Your sight is what you see right now which may be undesirable. Your vision is what you see down the road past your current circumstance. Vision allows you to look past your problems and fix your eyes on God's promise to you."

That is so right, God has promised us many things! I found myself looking for some things promised in God's word and wanted to share those with you.

I had a great shopping trip at Publix this week!!

Yippee! New $5/25 Rite Aid coupons available

This coupon has no crazy restrictions like off a"health-related product" (who can determine what is and is not a health-related products?) And to make it even better this coupon does not expire until 12/19/2009!

I always zoom in to 180 or 200% with the coupon viewable in the window, click print, select printable view, and it just prints the coupon and doesn't waste a lot of ink on all the blue background.

If you are a Publix shopper (and your store accepts competitor coupons) this coupon is like gold! I have saved at least $10.00 a week (by using a coupon on 2 transactions/trips each week) times about 15-20 weeks - that equals $150-$200 in savings!!!! All for just printing these coupons and shopping at my wonderful Publix that takes competitor coupons with a smile. That does not include all the great buy one, get one free sales or other coupon savings.

FREE Statepark pass and FREE fishing in GA on September 26

Georgia State Parks and Historical Sites are having a “Free Day in the Parks” day on Saturday, September 26. All parking fees and admission fees will be waived. Get all the details here or here.

And it’s also National Hunting and Fishing Day, so the requirement for a fishing license is waived too - so you can fish for free too!
