New feature: Décor on a Dime
I have to confess that I have gotten a little distracted from coupons, coupon blogs, and even CVS. And this is the reason why: DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Frugal Décor blogs!
I have always loved doing decorating and doing projects around the house. I am usually the one asking my husband if we can take a trip to the local Home Depot! :) And I have always loved to shop secondhand at yard sales or Goodwill. But these two things have combined in a whole new way: now I am shopping secondhand to find things I can transform to be “Décor on a Dime” for my house!

I will start by addicting you introducing you to some of my favorite frugal DIY blogs and some of their projects I love (and plan to do!)

I adore this centerpiece that she made using a $4.00 mirror, thrift store glass cylinders, fabric, candles and some filler. And the best part is that you can change it out easily for each season!
(I have been collecting glass cyclinders as I see them at Goodwill and have about 6 so far! And I already got my mirror for $5.00 at Target.)

I was excited when I saw this rebate! We have a cat and use World’s Best Cat Litter. It is a cat litter made of corn and it is biodegradeable and flushable – I just clean the litter box, toss it in the toilet, and flush! No bags or stinky waste in the trash and it lasts much longer than normal cat litter. I love this stuff!

I did not do a lot of shopping or coupon shopping in January due to trying to clean out my pantry and my body (doing the Master Cleanse) so my total will be lower than normal.

Crazy Coupon Capers
I loved the Mega Sale at Kroger the past 2 weeks! I was able to get some free and very cheap stuff and stock up on some things that don’t go on sale that often. I now have about a 5 month supply of cheese (I will be freezing some for later since most of it will expire by the end of April) that I got for $0.50 each!!!
Here’s the total for my mega trip this week:
