ReplyDeleteI'm just starting to experiment with the deals at Walgreens but I scored on the vitamins last week...starting small. :)
ReplyDeleteI already subscribe by e-mail. I had an experience yesterday with a mfr coupon and store coupon. Took 10 minutes before I was able to get both off my item!

I shop at the walgreens in Spring Hill (Campbell Station). The customer service is outstanding! My best deals were the week of the lotion sale... I stocked up for the winter with only 12 oop! I have shared my sources with employees and they are now saving too!

I wish they gave a longer expiration date on thier RR.

I hate that the checkers never understand the "deals". It isn't their fault, the company should explain their coupon regulations to their employees.

I love the time I got L'Oreal shampoo and conditioner for $1. They were on sale and I had coupons so it worked out great!

ReplyDeleteI get kind of frustrated with walgreens advertising specials but in store their prices never reflect the sale price. So you have to wander throughout the store leafing through the add to verify that the items are indeed on sale :-(
ReplyDeleteI follow you on google reader
ReplyDeletePlease count me in. I hate the fact the RR expire within 2 weeks!

My only frustration with Walgreens is that they are not close by me. When I first started couponing I didn't have a CVS, so I would drive to Walgreens every week. Now that I have CVS, I haven't found a deal great enough for me to travel to Wags, esp. since the RR expire sooner than ECB.

Our Walgreens is a bit out of the way for us, so I tend to go to Rite Aid & CVS more. In addition, I've found that Walgreens isn't as pleasant about coupons as our CVS is - and, they usually give you a hard time about stacking coupons and getting items inexpensively. But, if there is an exceptionally good deal (i.e. the diapers), I will head over there. :)

My greatest frustration with Walgreens is my store not having enough of the sale products in stock. But-everyone there is very friendly so it's easy to shop there.

One time I did 5 transactions in a row. When I got to my 5th transaction I needed it voided out because I decide I didn't want to do it. The assistant manager came over and canceled ALL FIVE of my transactions. It was insane and a mess. She got so frustrated she just said, "I'm done here." and left me there wondering what to do. Let's just say I have not been back to that store since. So sad.

ReplyDeleteI love shopping at Walgreens! Today I spent $3.31 including tax and got 6 boxes of Kleenex (which we've been going through like water given our colds) and 2 bottles of Dove Men+Care body wash, plus I have $16 RR to keep rolling. I still can't believe how much I can get for so little - two years ago, I thought $1 per box of Kleenex was a great deal!
ReplyDeleteI love Walgreens but sometimes I do run into the occasional employee that gives me a hard time with coupons.

ReplyDeletei miss the rebates for free items. i appreciated that several times, they honored my rebate even though i was a few days late sending it in! only once did they not issue my rebate when i was a few days late.

Hey Christina,
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
Walgreens has given me many problems (and problems are always easier to remember!), but I have had some great deals there too. Just last night I did the Huggies diaper deal. It was great timing for me since I took Brooke to church in her last diaper! I'm so glad your website gave me the "heads-up" about the diapers. We stopped at Walgreens right after church, and I got two packs of diapers for $13 with $3 RR. The only thing about the RR is that they are manufacturer's coupons, so you have to get two items to use your coupon and RR. I remembered that after my second transaction wasn't working, so I grabbed a bag of M&Ms and it went through. At first I considered this just an o.k. deal until I got another $3 RR. I've had problems with not receiving the RR on a purchase in which I've used the same RR, so usually I can only do two transactions. All that said, thanks for all the great info. and coupon tips. - Emily O'Brien

ReplyDeleteMy experience at the Walgreen's by my house has been disappointing. There are several associates that do not like to see me coming with my coupons. They are also out of stock of the items on sale many weeks.

ReplyDeleteMy biggest frustration with walgreens lately is them calling a manager everytime I hand then internet coupons. They always take them so I don't understand the hassle.
Great giveaway and blog

There is only one coupon friendly assistant manager at our local Walgreen's. All the other employees verge on rudeness. Not a very good shopping experience.

My greatest frustration with Walgreens if matching up the coupons with the correct product. Sometimes you have to REALLY read the fine print on their store coupons.
ReplyDeletejskchristiansen@hotmail.com
I subscribe through email. One of my best deals was about 2 years ago when I was shopping at a Walgreen's while visiting relatives. It was when Crest ProHealth first came out. They were out of stock on the advertised size so I asked for a raincheck. The manager said he would substitute instead, which of course would not trigger RR. He compensated for that by lowering the price more than the RR would have been and honoring my MANY coupons. I don't remember what my total was but I think I made $15.oo or something like that. Kris

ReplyDeleteWithin the past couple of months I've gotten great deals on Huggies, Triaminic and other OTC medicines.
ReplyDeleteMy only beef with my local Wags is the weekly sales prices or RR deals are not always clearly marked. I also agree with a previous comment that it would be helpful if the RRs had longer expiration dates.

My biggest frustration is that each store has different prices on clearance. They also don't teach their cashiers to be helpful and courteous. Or at least enforce it.
ReplyDeletestarr61001@yahoo.com
I like Walgreens! I usually pay pocket change for everything I get or nothing! I haven't been in a while so I dont have any register rewards built up right now so this gift card would be a great way to help me do that!

My biggest frustration with Walgreens is how frequently the cashiers, at least in my area, are very hostile to couponers. It gets tiring to have to argue to get your deals. But I usually get them, so it's all good in the end.
ReplyDeletethanks again!

ReplyDeleteMy biggest frustration is trying to do the RR deals since they are only good for 2 weeks. I can't always get to a Walgreen's to use them up and/or roll them in time....and I hate to loose that money. So, I don't shop there as much anymore. But I'm willing to try again if I win the gift card.

I really wish Walgreens wouldn't have done away with the rebates. The register rewards are more trouble than they're worth for me. Sometimes they don't print out when they should and then they expire too quickly.
