I am new to this whole couponing thing and don't quite know what I am doing...so far I have left most coupons in the flyers just to keep my sanity. But, I need to find a way to organize them fast!

i'm a filer, but not sure if that's the best way...it's just what works for me so I don't spend too much time clipping. :-)

ReplyDeleteI clip and file! I clip the coupons I am pretty sure I will use and file the ones that I will only use if the deal is too good to pass up!
ReplyDeleteI just subscribed! Thanks! Love this site!
ReplyDeleteI'm a flipper. What's that you say? I have a binder of baseball inserts where I place tearpads, blinkie's and other coupons (some that I may have cut) and I ALSO have page protectors where I put the inserts along with a printout of the coupons in that insert. Usually I copy and paste from Taylortown Preview into Word.
ReplyDeleteRight now I can barely zip the thing! ;)

I file my coupons by inserts each week. When there is a sale, I just look up the coupons I need on Coupon Mom, and flip to the insert. :)

ReplyDeleteI had a really neat coupon organizer but I lost it last week. UGH! All the money that was lost in that baby kills me... so I'm starting over from scratch. Currently am using a card file box but am looking at doing something else. I clip everything that I might possibly use.

ReplyDeleteI used to be a clipper and had all the baseball sleeves but recently I've switched to leaving the inserts whole.
ReplyDeleteI clip the coupons for items that I'm brand loyal to, and then file the rest of the inserts in a three ring binder in a sheet protecter by week, so I can find them quickly!!

I started out as a filer. But started to hate going to stores and finding clearance and deals unexpectidly and not having my coupon with that I knew I had filed. So, I switched and am now a clipper. I like it better and after some time I've noticed which coupons I don't use and have stopped clipping as many.
ReplyDeleteThanks!

I organize my coupons using a filing system in a small tote. I have many categories in alphabetical so not too many coupons are in each category and they are easy to find. I am a filer so this is the way I like to do it, I feel it's the easiest and quickest way.
ReplyDeletepc_lv_lzrds@yahoo.com
I use a recipe box. Right now--it is overflowing. I give my expired coupons to the troops overseas--so that helps at the end of the each month :-)

ReplyDeleteI am a clipper - I tried the filing system but I kept finding myself in the store wishing I had coupons that were at home!

I am still trying to figure out what works best for me so I currently file by dates til I get a chance to clip. I like having all my coupons in my binder already clipped though. Thanks for your blog.

I was a filer for years, but once I saw the
ReplyDeletecoupons put into a baseball card book system,
I had to change. It's been great for me and it's so easy to fine everything.

I am a subscriber Celina email cmbt0826@bellsouth.net. I am a clipper and a filer, I clip 3 inserts so that when I am in the store and there are deals I have my coupons. If it is a great deal I will go to my file and clip more and go back.

ReplyDeleteI currently file my whole inserts, but this system just isn't working for me. It's a big pain to go to the store and either forget a coupon that I needed or see an unadvertised sale and not have the necessary coupon. I think I may have to suck it up and spend the time setting up a binder system.
ReplyDeleteI am a filer with a smaller clipped coupon binder that I take in the store with me. It saves so much time since I don't use a lot of the coupons.
ReplyDeleteI follow along with google reader :)
ReplyDeleteI currently clip my coupons and use them in an accordion style holder, but it is time consuming at the store looking through a section for one coupon you know you have that I'm thinking about diving into the whole binder deal. I'm sure it will be a lot easier!!
ReplyDeleteI have a huge binder with baseball card holders. I get funny looks, but it works well especially when there are sales that weren't published or clearance. I don't know what I would do without it!
ReplyDeleteI am a clipper and use a coupon binder with baseball card holders to organize my coupons.
ReplyDeleteThis way if there are any clearance deals, I have all of my coupons with me.

ReplyDeleteI started out clipping all of my coupons. As my coupon holder got thicker and thicker, I began to rethink this. Now I file the inserts, but I still clip a few coupons and print a bunch off the internet too.
ReplyDeleteI use a pocket file and only clip the coupons I think I'll use. Yes, that has bitten me more than once when I see a good deal but then discover I didn't keep the coupon.
ReplyDeleteI'm already a subscriber by email.
ReplyDeleteI'm a clipper - I have a pretty small coupon organizer and would rather keep things simple than have a lot of extra coupons lying around that I'm not using.
ReplyDeleteI followed you on Facebook!
ReplyDeleteI'm a clipper. Cutting them helps me know what I have, and it's easier to bring all my coupons with me to the store. If I find a special clearance item, I don't have to kick myself that all my other coupons are back at home. Also, my 2 smaller coupon files are much easier to take along than a big notebook/binder. Now if I could just invent a machine to keep up with all the coupon clipping and filing for me...

I started out as a clipper, but spent too much time on it. So now I am a filer. I take each insert & tear them into single pages & put in page protectors in a notebook. I label each insert with date & (SS or RP or P&G). That way I can look up a coupon using the database that our local newspaper person has on her website. It's much less time consuming! :)
