Décor on a Dime: Decorating with Christmas ornaments! :)
I promised you a post of the many ways you can decorate with ornaments! And I found more than 10 ways! :) So if you are needing a pretty centerpiece on your table for the in-laws headed over for Christmas, I have some quick and easy ideas for you. And the best part is you should have everything you need already!
Remember those Dollar Store Hurricanes? Throw some Christmas balls in them for a cute centerpiece. Or for a focal point on your mantel.
Have a pretty pair of candlesticks? Place some Christmas balls on top for a festive look! :)
Add some pinecones and Christmas balls in a basket tied with a bow for another cute centerpiece or to place on an entryway table.
Or put Christmas balls and pinecones under a cake dome or a cloché.
Need a last minute centerpiece and have a large vase or hurricane? Throw some Christmas balls inside, and some greenery around the bottom and you have a gorgeous, festive centerpiece in minutes! :)
Here are some of the ways I decorated with ornaments this year!
I am loving the ornaments in this tall hurricane vase!
By the way, Wal-mart has packs of 4 gorgeous red, green, blue, silver gold plastic ornaments for $1.00! And you can find packs of ornament for $1 at the Dollar Tree and the dollar spot at Target. I am hoping that some of them are still left and go 50% on Sunday so I can stock up for next year! (since I used the same 10-15 ornaments for each one of these pictures :)
See all the ornaments in my dining room this year! :)
In the centerpiece…
in my ornament wreath…
on the little 3 tiered Christmas tree server…
(That way, this gets used all season long! Not just pulled out to put fudge and cookies on Christmas Day!)
and in the garland on my hutch!
My MIL passed on this pretty garland to me this year. I added a strand of lights and a few red Christmas balls and Iove it across my china hutch! It is so pretty to see the Christmas lights lit up in their at night too.
I even added a few Christmas balls in my Christmas dishes in my hutch.
This is the first year I have gotten to enjoy our new chandelier in the dining room and it is all decked out for Christmas! :)
I moved my candle/mirror centerpiece to the kitchen for Christmas and of course added some mini and regular Christmas balls around it!
Love how the candlelight reflects off the sparkly Christmas balls!
I made this wreath a few years ago and it usually hangs outside my door. But this year it is on the inside of my front door.
And of course my picture ledges had to get some Christmas décor too!
The little red, green, and gold presents are actually ornaments (from Wal-mart for $1!) and I think they look cute nestled next to my Christmas tree candy dish.
Frugal with a Flourish made this adorable ornament Christmas tree and has a great tutorial! I had planned to make it too but Dollar Tree was sold out of the mini ornaments before I could get any. Maybe I can find some on clearance after Christmas somewhere?
So have fun decorating with Christmas ornaments! :)
And if you need some of the pretty plastic ornaments, watch for them on clearance after Christmas and pick some up for next year! :)
-------------------------
(By the way if you see any of this faux snow stuff on clearance, pick some up! It will go down to $0.25-0.50 a bag at Wal-mart or Target after Christmas. I will have some great ideas on how to use it to decorate for winter in January and February. I already have my winter mantel pictured in my head and I can’t wait to take Christmas down and put winter up!)

Swagbucks: Earn 60 swagbucks for joining!!
I have tried and tried to convince you to join and use swagbucks! :) If you haven’t yet, I hope this post will be the final motivation you need.
I waited a while before joining the swagbucks bandwagon too. But once I did and saw how quick the “bucks” added to my account, and then redeemed for my first Amazon giftcard, I WAS HOOKED!
I joined about a year and half ago and was able to buy quite a few Christmas gifts last year with Amazon cards I had earned for FREE with swagbucks (and even got them shipped for FREE using Amazon prime!)
This year, I decided to redeem my swagbucks each month for Amazon giftcards (450 swagbucks get you a $5 Amazon gc and you can order up to 5 each month) and save them up for Christmas shopping. My husband and I decided to get a new camera (a Nikon DSLR to be exact!) for Christmas as “our Christmas present” and were so excited when we realized we could pay for almost HALF OF IT with Amazon giftcards from swagbucks!! That’s right we had earned a couple hundred dollars of Amazon giftcards just from searching the internet, doing the daily polls, and referring friends to swagbucks!
So I promise you this is WORTH IT! I have the swagbucks toolbar installed and just do all my searches using it (taking no extra time at all!)
So what are you waiting for? Sign up today! New members usually only get 30 bucks for signing up. BUT from now until the end of the year if you sign up using THIS LINK and enter code JoinIn2010, you will get 60 swagbucks added to your account!

No coupon inserts this Sunday
There will be NO coupon inserts in the paper this weekend.
Not sure about next Sunday (12/26). There is no SS or RP scheduled, but I am thinking P & G might sneak one in! :)
So, I have to admit I am not too unhappy about no inserts this weekend. :) Time to catch up, take a break, and relax the week of Christmas!
